DR Feed & Seed Country Club Member of the Month: Windswept Farm | Acton, Maine

As a member of the Dirigo Ranch Country Club, we want to help promote your farm, ranch, homestead, or related pet services. Please send us along a photo or logo, and a brief summary of your operation. Every month, we'll pick a Country Club Member and promote them across our social platforms.

It has been a whirlwind spring - which makes sharing about this next Country Club member, even more fitting!

Preparing and leaving for our Oklahoma/Texas trip has kept me fairly distracted from writing but that was an incredible experience!  We even brought a new longhorn home to join the herd! Follow along on our Dirigo Ranch page for herd updates.

That said, I am looking forward to sharing more about our many interesting members!

Enjoy!

Windswept Farm

Around 8 years ago, Lynsey and Sean Bourquin began a journey of self-sufficiency and growing their own food. A passion bloomed, and they decided to test themselves to see what their capacity for growth could become!

Inspired by the movement towards more wholesome, natural foods, Lynsey wanted to ensure that her family was nourished by the food they consumed.  This lead to fresh laid eggs and rich raw milk from their herd of dairy cows.

"We are deeply committed to supporting fellow small, local businesses, raising our animals with the utmost care and respect, and practicing sustainable, eco-friendly farming that nurtures both the land and our community."

A passion and way of life that I believe many of our Country Club Members and customers can relate to and share joy in.

Farm Offerings:

Sean and Lynsey run the farm just the two of them and operate a farm stand that operates a couple of days per week, with a selection of the freshest eggs around!

"Currently we sell farm fresh eggs two days a week (Thursdays 4pm - 6pm & Saturdays 10am-12pm). Our eggs are laid within 1-14 days of being sold and stay fresh for 3 months.  Extra eggs that are a little older can be picked up at Local 130 at a discount."
